Aecom to manage architecture, engineering and construction for LA28 Olympics

Infrastructure consulting company Aecom has been named the official venue infrastructure partner for the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles, USA
Its role includes the architecture and engineering to deliver the LA28 venues, as well as the programme management of their delivery. Meanwhile, its Aecom Hunt business will oversee the procurement process, cost estimating, scheduling, and construction management of the venue infrastructure.
Aecom said that the scope of its role is 鈥渦nprecedented鈥� for Olympic and Paralympic Games delivery.

LA28 will mark Los Angeles鈥� third time hosting the Olympic and Paralympic Games and will involve more than 50 Olympic and Paralympic sports, 800+ events, and over 15,000 Olympic and Paralympic athletes.
No new permanent venues are expected to be built for the Games, with LA28 favouring a mix of temporary and demountable venues and existing facilities instead.
