Green cement producer targets new market

Sweden-based green cement producer Cemvision has announced that it is targeting the UK market as it launches a 鈥渟trategic expansion鈥�.

Cemvision uses Re-ment technology for the development of foundational slabs, replacing traditional Portland cement.
Recent testing conducted at materials testing firm Sandberg鈥檚 concrete laboratory showed a 28-day compressive strength reaching the C50/60 classification and a 75% CO鈧� reduction compared to Portland cement.
The UK cement market consumes more than 15 million tonnes annually. The country鈥檚 ambitious climate goals create significant potential for more sustainable cement technology to become a critical component in reducing CO鈧� emissions.
