FYLD, a UK-based company offering technological solutions for the heavy civil, utility and construction industries, announced in November that its namesake software has been integrated with Procore construction management programme.

Powered by artificial intelligence (AI), the FYLD fieldwork platform works on standard smart phones and tablets, using cameras, scanning, and written annotations to connect worksites with administration.

鈥淲ith real-time insights, automated workflows, and video risk assessments, FYLD鈥檚 Procore integration offers field teams seamless data sync, proactive decision-making, and mobile access to critical updates 鈥 all to keep projects safe and on track,鈥 said FYLD.

The company added it found productivity gains of up to 12% in six weeks for users on the integration. The company said it saw a 48% reduction in safety-related risks, as well.

Procore is the flagship construction management software of Procore Technologies, a US-based company.

FYLD co-founder and CEO Shelley Copsey told Construction Briefing the integration developed after FYLD noted a large volume of their customers were already using Procore.

鈥淏ut what [those customers were] not getting is the experience of the fieldworker,鈥 said Copsey.

She explained that FYLD鈥檚 platform puts more tools in the hand of a fieldworker or surveyor, allowing them to survey a site while transferring valuable data and information (like photos, videos, annotated notes, etc.) to the back office through Procore software.

鈥淚t鈥檚 quite a natural fit when we can help bring information] from the front office to the frontline and effectively back to the back office,鈥 she said.

鈥淧roject managers are going to have a much better view of project risk from a variety of angles, from scheduling to cost from quality to safety. It enables them to make better decisions.鈥
