Atlas Copco Power & Flow has launched two new PAS dewatering surface pumps, PAS 100 and PAS 150, with HardHat canopies.

The company says the 鈥渓ightweight yet tough鈥 HardHat canopy means the PAS 100 and PAS 150 are durable and easy to service, providing long-life high performance and minimising downtime.

Compact design makes for easy transportation.

Saksham Dube, Product Marketing Manager at Atlas Copco Power & Flow, said the canopy on the PAS pump range had traditionally been metal, but had been upgraded to Hardhat in response to customer feedback.

鈥淥ur HardHat technology is a tough polyethylene resin material proven in the field to protect equipment鈥檚 most vital and expensive core components,鈥 he said.

鈥淚t has been incorporated on Atlas Copco鈥檚 compressor and light tower range for over 15 years and we鈥檙e delighted to now extend the technology to our PAS pumps so customers can better protect their investment.鈥

According to Atlas Copco, HardHat polymer, a registered trademark, is resistant to corrosion, extreme temperatures and harsh operating environments, which, the company says, makes it maintenance free.

Of interest to rental companies, it does not discolour, maximising equipment鈥檚 resale value, while the HardHat doors can also be painted in any colour.

The pumps are designed for applications including dewatering on construction and mining sites, solids removal, drainage, and emergency flooding. They are available in various package options: standalone, or with a galvanised undercarriage or skid, 鈥渕aking them ideal for rental companies.鈥

Pumps are Stage V compliant and HVO certified.

Key features of the range include a hinged door on the pump itself for easy serviceability on site, with all components 鈥渆xceptionally easy to access for simple servicing and maintenance.鈥

Atlas Copco says the PAS 100 and PAS 150鈥檚 compact design makes each unit easy to move around a site, and the pumps provide continuous operation for 24 hours.

They feature a PW series control panel with Atlas Copco FleetLink telematic system for remote monitoring.

A pump can be cleaned and restarted in three minutes and serviced in under 60 minutes, which the company says is 10 % quicker than previous models.

Other design features include mechanical shaft seals set in an oil bath, which enables dry running capability without damage. A semi-open impeller means the pumps can handle solids of various sizes without clogging.

The pumps are Stage V compliant and certified to work with HVO biodiesel oil.
