The new battery-electric truck-mounted concrete pump was developed in response to a request from Sweden-based materials supplier Swerock. 

The all-electric pump truck can travel up to 50 kilometres and can pump approximately 50 cubic metres of concrete without needing to recharge. For longer distances or for larger volumes of concrete, a Combined Charging System (CCS2) with 63 or 32 amps can be installed at the work site, allowing the truck to continue pumping concrete while it recharges.

With the new battery-electric pump truck, Volvo Trucks says that it can offer construction customers a completely electric alternative for the handling of concrete 鈥� transporting, mixing and pumping.
