Tutor Perini-Nan had already won the Apra Harbor Waterfront Repairs Project but has now been awarded several additional options by the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, Marianas.

The initial design-build construction project involves repairing the Apra Harbor鈥檚 Glass Breakwater and restoring and modernising waterfront areas that have been eroded and damaged from storms, including the recent Typhoon Mawar in May 2023.

The scope of work now includes repairs to various sections of the Glass Breakwater to minimise future breaching potential of the breakwater. It also involves shoreline repairs to the inner harbour.

The additional scope options are valued at US$232 million, taking the total contract value to around $563 million.

Tutor Perini is the managing partner in the joint venture, via its subsidiary Black Construction Corporation, with Nan, Inc. serving as a 30% partner.
