Terex MP acquires robotic recycling specialist

Terex Materials Processing (MP), a leading aggregate, environmental, concrete, lifting, and handling machinery company headquartered in Northern Ireland, has acquired the assets of ZenRobotics, which designs and creates robots for waste material recycling.

Based in Finland, and the company鈥檚 ambition is to make the circular economy a reality by turning global waste into clean raw materials.

In 2015 it launched the Heavy Picker, which has been described as the world鈥檚 strongest waste sorting robot for bulky construction and demolition waste.

The company will retain its name and become a Terex brand, with the unit reporting to Tony Devlin, who leads the Terex MP environmental businesses.
