Skanska awarded �239 million government building project in Oslo, Norway

Skanska has signed a contract with the Norwegian government’s building commissioner, Statsbygg, to construct a section of the new Government Quarter in Oslo, Norway.

The contract is valued at approximately NOK 2.8 billion (�239 million), and will be included in the Nordic order bookings for the first quarter of 2025.

The project covers an area of 26,800 square metres, including the basement, making it the second largest building in the new government quarters. It aims to achieve BREEAM Outstanding certification.

Construction is set to begin in January 2025, with an expected completion date in September 2029.
