Sales up for Sany as it focuses on globalisation

China-based OEM Sany has released its 2024 financial results, revealing sales of US$10.88 billion, an increase of 6% from 2023.

The OEM also revealed that international revenue accounts for 64% of its core business revenue, meaning that approximately US$6.78 billion of sales was done internationally by the business. International sales increased by 12% compared to 2023.
The growth of international markets was primarily driven by the Asia and Australia regions, whose reported revenue was $2.88 billion, a 15.47% year-on-year increase. The African market saw revenue jump by 44% to $0.75 billion.
The Europe and America regions also showed stable growth of 1.86% and 6.64%, contributing $1.72 billion and $1.44 billion respectively.
In a press release Sany said that it was 鈥減rioritizing globalization efforts鈥� by establishing local production bases, R&D centers, marketing and service networks, and localised teams.
The earthmoving machinery, concrete machinery, and hoisting machinery contributed 76% of the full-year revenue, reporting $4.25 billion, $2.01 billion, and $1.83 billion accordingly. The road machinery performed strongly, posting a 20.8% year-on-year growth.
The OEM added that in 2024, the company applied 275 low-carbon patents and that its low-carbon products generated $0.56 billion in revenue. Last year Sany launched over 40 electric products, with the sales exceeding 6,200 units.
