Irish firm wins work on major Singapore aquarium project

ELSS Engineering 鈥� an Ireland-based company 鈥� is set to build a new major aquarium project in Southeast Asia.

ELSS specialises in aquarium and oceanarium engineering and manufacturing and contributed work to the world鈥檚 largest aquarium, SeaWorld Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.
The new contract, for an undisclosed sum, is on a major unnamed aquarium in Singapore.
ELSS Engineering will use a seven-figure HSBC UK Trade Finance package to begin the construction of the aquarium project.
Works on the oceanarium are scheduled to finish later this year.
Jeffrey Martin McAteer, chair of the board of directors at ELSS Engineering, said: 鈥淭he Board of Directors are excited to have secured this exciting new contract in Singapore thanks to HSBC鈥檚 international banking capabilities. Being able to operate on a global scale allows us to work on some of the largest aquariums around the world. Through our work we hope to show younger generations the varied career possibilities engineering can bring!鈥�
