Besix uses topographic robot on tower project
05 April 2022
Besix is using the BIMPrinter topographic robot on the Mohammed VI Tower site in Morocco.

Created by Belgian company BIMPrinter, the robot is a mobile and autonomous topographic plotter that has the ability to trace the details of digital drawings onto slabs 鈥 to real scale and to the nearest millimetre.
The robot can be used to prepare the construction of partition walls with complex geometry and angles.
Mikolaj Zdebski, chief surveyor, Besix said, 鈥淥n the Mohammed VI Tower, we were looking for a solution for a very accurate tracing of the partition walls on 50 floors. This led us to contact BIMPrinter.
鈥淭heir solution provides a significant gain in accuracy, which has a direct and positive impact on construction teams and work quality. It also offers a faster working speed than traditional topographic preparation.鈥
Zdebski added that, with the robot, it was possible to produce a complete floor plan in less than a day. This is three times faster than through the traditional method.
