Collaborations with LiuGong, Shantui, and Develon aim to streamline the integration of Leica鈥檚 MC1 3D machine control systems, reducing installation time and enhancing job site efficiency.

LiuGong

LiuGong and Leica Geosystems have joined forces to introduce a factory-installed machine control kit for LiuGong excavators to ease the process of implementing Leica鈥檚 MC1 3D system. The new kit is now available for a range of LiuGong excavators across Europe and the UK.

The integration means that machines are pre-fitted with essential hardware for future use with Leica Geosystems鈥 3D machine control technology, cutting lead times and reducing the setup burden for dealers and users.

The kit will be available on the following LiuGong excavator models: 913FCR, 915FCR, 915F, 922F, 923FN, 925FCR, 926F, 930F, 936F, 942F, 952F and through LiuGong dealer partners in Europe and the UK.

Shantui

Shantui Construction Machinery has also partnered with Leica Geosystems to deliver aftermarket installation kits for its latest range of excavators and dozers. The kits, compatible with models including the SE215, SE20, SE58SR, and DH20M, are designed to streamline the addition of Leica鈥檚 MC1 3D control systems.

The solution hopes for rapid integration and supports operators with real-time precision guidance, minimising rework and reducing reliance on traditional surveying methods.

Philip Gong, director of Europe business department at Shantui, stated, 鈥淲ith the easy-to-install aftermarket kit of the Leica MC1 machine control systems, our latest machines provide operators with greater control, efficiency and confidence on the job site.鈥

Leica Geosystems鈥 Neil Williams emphasised the broader value of the collaboration, 鈥淭he introduction of these aftermarket kits empowers operators to seamlessly digitalise their processes without the need for a complete system overhaul.鈥

Visitors to Bauma 2025 have the opportunity to see the Leica MC1 3D system and Shantui excavators and dozers in action.

Develon

Develon, formerly Doosan Construction Equipment, has launched a retrofit version of the Leica MC1 3D machine guidance system designed specifically for its latest excavator models. The solution integrates directly with Develon鈥檚 existing 2D sensors and calibration systems.

The company says that the collaboration will enable users to benefit from high-precision excavation capabilities without overhauling their existing equipment setup.
