Two firms share $2.6bn Saudi power plant expansion work

Orascom Construction and T茅cnicas Reunidas have won a contract to build a large-scale 3GW combined cycle gas-fired power plant in Saudi Arabia.

The Qurayyah IPP power plant expansion project, in the Kingdom鈥檚 eastern province, will also be equipped to be ready for carbon capture and include a 380kV electrical substation.
Orascom Construction and T茅cnicas Reunidas signed the EPC contract worth US$2.6 billion with Hajr Two Electricity Company, a consortium comprised of ACWA Power, Saudi Electricity Company, and Haji Abdullah Alireza & Co.
