Manitou has reported a 20% increase in turnover for the first half of 2012 compared to the first half of 2011 and an upturn in profit of 22%. However, president and chief executive officer Jean-Christophe Giroux said progress was slower than expected because of a number of internal and external factors.

Manitou's first quarter revenue results for 2012 show a 19% increase on the same quarter in 2011 to 鈧�316 million. The Rough Terrain Handling (RTH) division which includes access platforms and telehandlers has increased turnover by 16%, compared to Q1 in 2011, to 鈧�221.4 million.
