The models offer 360-degree rotation in both directions, as well as a 40-degree tilt left and right for various attachments, including hydromechanical tools such as grapples.

Mecalac said that the 鈥淢R50 and MR60 tiltrotator options include dedicated multi-function joysticks, various tiltrotator configurations and settings as well as 鈥淗ome鈥� 鈥� return to operator preset position 鈥� and 鈥淏ucket Shake鈥� 鈥� or pulse 鈥� functions to ensure material spreads evenly and quickly.

It added: 鈥淭o further meet the needs of customers, the Mecalac tiltrotators are available with or without a grab module. Acting as a gripper, the module allows objects to be grabbed and moved while keeping the tool mounted on the tiltrotator.鈥�

While the MR50 tiltrotator is available as an option for the 9MWR and 11MWR wheeled excavators and the 10MCR crawler-skid excavator, the MR60 tiltrotator is available for the 15MWR wheeled excavator and 15MC crawler excavator.

According to the manufacturer, both tiltrotators come with its twin CONNECT coupling system, which enables compatibility with other Mecalac work tools.

Peter Bigwood, general manager for Mecalac North America, said: 鈥淧lacing a Mecalac tiltrotator between two CONNECT quick couplers is an innovative solution that further enhances the versatility and productivity Mecalac excavators are known for.

鈥淭hanks to this new mounting, the operator can easily remove either the tool or the entire tiltrotator system to immediately resume work with a 4-in-1 or standard loader bucket.鈥�

The company said that excavators fitted with the new tiltrotators 鈥減rovide even greater jobsite productivity and finesse鈥�. As such, they are suitable for a range applications, including groundworks, utility, landscaping, sewer and water tasks.

Another standout feature of the MR50 and MR60 models is their lightweight design, which helps to preserve machine power.

Looking to the future, the OEM says it will also introduce the tiltrotator options for its 8MCR crawler skid steer excavator, and its 12MTX wheeled excavator loader.
